The writing module at a glance
The writing part of the ÖIF Integrationsprüfung B1 takes about 30 minutes. You write a semi-formal message, for example an enquiry or a complaint, and must address four given content points (Leitpunkte).
It is scored out of 20 points; you pass from 15. What matters is not only correct sentences but that you clearly address every content point and don’t forget the greeting, opening and closing.

How to pass writing for sure
Most points are lost when a content point is missing. Four things help:
- Mark all four content points before you write
- Start with a greeting and end with a closing formula
- At least one or two clear sentences per content point
- At the end, proofread verb forms and cases
