Jemanden kennenlernen und beraten
About 5 minutes of conversation with your partner: you meet on a train journey, talk about a topic, exchange experiences and give each other advice with reasons.
Counts toward the oral exam: 30 points, pass mark 18.
You talk briefly about your trip, build a bridge to the topic, swap experiences and views, and give and ask for concrete tips with a reason.

Five minutes with a plan
A stranger, a train, about 5 minutes of conversation in German. Sounds like improvising, but it isn't: task 1 is built the same way on every sheet, only the topic changes. If you know the pattern, you walk in with a plan.
To show you how it works, we follow Johanna, a sample candidate. She reads the sheet during the preparation (15 minutes for all three tasks). Watch what she notes for each part.
There are no roles on the sheet. Johanna speaks as herself, as an equal to the other person. Only the trip is made up, and she chooses where and why freely. If you're taking the exam on your own, the examiner talks with you.
