Suggesting and agreeing
A short building block with no exam task: the language you need in these parts of the exam.
- Sprechen · Aufgabe 3
You make suggestions with the right word order, say no politely with a reason and a new suggestion, and sum up the shared plan at the end.
5 min
One conversation, four steps
You and your friend are planning a clean-up: volunteers spend a morning collecting litter in the park near you. On Sunday you're visiting your parents.
When you plan together, you keep doing the same things: suggest, agree or say no with a new suggestion, and at the end reach an agreement. Go through the conversation step by step.
A suggestion sounds friendliest as a question or with könnten: “Wollen wir …?” (Shall we …?), “Wir könnten …” (We could …). That makes it easy for your partner to say yes or no.
